We woke-up bright and early so that we could be some of the first people in the park (this is what Tour Guide Mike had suggested and it worked out great for us!). The kids were super excited about their first day at Disney World. We had planned to go to Epcot but there was a marathon going on there so at the last minute we changed and went to The Magic Kingdom. There was hardly anyone there!! We went to Space Mountain first. Cooper rode it 4 times and there was no wait! He loved the ride so we got fast passes to use later on.
Little Miss Priss was not happy...she was not tall enough to ride : (
She was feeling much better after a quick snack.
Up next was one of the Toy Story rides. You could shoot lasers and try and earn points. The kids liked it, but not our favorite ride.
For some reason both kids became obsessed with Stitch while we were at Disney World.
Of course we had to take our picture in front of the castle : )
Emily has always loved Winnie the Pooh and all of his friends, so I knew we had to have a character lunch with them. Cooper was not too thrilled about it, but he did let me take his picture with a few of the characters. Emily had the best time!
We did get to see several fun parades at the Magic Kingdom.
It was a long day, but the kids had a fun time! Our favorite rides were Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, and Thunder Mountain. The park is so pretty with all of the lights at night time.
So I am FINALLY getting around to posting about our trip to Disney World. We were gone from Feb. 26th-March 4th. It was a great time to be at DW. The weather was almost perfect and according to everyone there it was not crowded (I can't imagine what it is like when it is crowded or even worse...crowded and hot!!).
My kids can always find something to climb on...this is on the bus from the parking lot to the airport. My little monkeys : )
These were a couple of fun spots in the airport at Orlando.
We stayed on property at the Port Orleans French Quarter. Disney had a bus waiting to take everyone to their resorts from the airport. They had a movie for the kids to watch on the way to our resort.
After getting everything put away in our room, we took a boat ride from our resort to Downtown Disney. It was PACKED!! I was so worried that one of our kids was going to get lost. We had reservations at Wolfgang Puck's restaurant (we still had to wait an hour)...but the food was really good. The kids had a yummy ice cream sundae for dessert. We were so lucky because when we booked our trip they were running a special where if you stayed on property they would give you the meal plan for FREE!! It was a great deal....all of our food and snacks were FREE!!
It was so late after dinner that we had to hurry back and get the kids to bed...we had a big day in the morning!!
Our kids were so excited this morning....they woke-up at 7:00 to see what the Easter Bunny had brought for them. As soon as they saw their Easter baskets they ran to our room telling us we had to get up so they could show us all of their new stuff.
Cooper was sitting in just the right place to make it look like he had bunny ears
One of Lucy's many looks
Emily was in a great mood this morning
Cooper was so excited to get a pogo stick. He is really good at it...here he is bouncing and waving to me at the same time:
This is a common scene at my house...one kid is playing, the other is wanting his toy back, and the other is crying!! fun fun!!
the Cleveland Girls!
This is the best picture I could get with Daddy : )
It does seem like it is getting harder and harder to get all 3 kids to smile and look at the camera. I get a lot of these:
These were the best 2 pictures.
We went to Church this morning. We are hoping that our kids realize that Easter is so much more than a day to get presents. Cooper has been singing a song all day about the Hope of Jesus and Emily has been talking about how Jesus is her best friend. What an awesome day Easter is!! He is Risen! He is Risen indeed!
So it is almost the end of our soccer season. I figured I needed to get with it and finally post some pictures of Emily's first ever team sport. I think she has enjoyed playing soccer once she gets to the game, but she has said several times that "running up and down the field makes my legs hurt really bad!!". Apparently we need to excercise more : )
The name of her team is the Red Fury. They are very serious about soccer here in Texas...even for the little 4 and 5 year olds. Emily's friend Ella is on her team and Ella's dad is the coach. He has been really sweet to Emily.
Here are some pictures of my big girl in action (these were taken at her first game of the season and it was SO cold and windy)
I love this one!! She actually scored the very first goal of the very first game!! We were so proud of her! Emily and Ella
Emily loves it at the end of the game when the parents make a tunnel for the team to run through ( of course her favorite part is getting a treat at the end of the game)
I just do not know how time gets away so quickly. Here it is almost 1 month since my last post and I still have not finished editing the pictures from Disney World. Let's just say that life is busy and there is never a dull moment around here!!
While I am working on the Disney pictures, I have to share this with you.
This picture was taken over a month ago. A month ago my biggest worry at night was that Lucy's leg would get stuck in the slats of her crib.......
A few weeks after this picture was taken.....she actually climbed (fell) out of her crib. It scared her and she has not attempted to "climb" out again. Hopefully we can still be in the crib till at least 2 years old.......
Lucy's new thing at bedtime this week has been to actually take her pajama pants off and sometimes if she is feeling really wild she will take her diaper off too!! The really bad part is that she does not cry or scream for me to come help her get her clothes back on. Instead, she falls asleep this way and I discover her this way when I go to check on her. Luckily she has not wet the bed while her diaper has been off.
So now I have lots of things to worry about at night with Lucy....stuck leg, climbing out of bed, or taking her clothes off!! Oh the fun of being a mommy to a mischievous little girl! She is so sweet, I just can't stay upset with her for too long : ) just look at that sweet face!!
My wonderful husband and I have been married since May of 2002. We have 3 awesome kids--Cooper, Emily, and Lucy! This blog was created to allow friends and family an easy way to keep up with our busy life!
