Lucy 8 Months Old

So...I am a little over a week late with this post. Trying to sell a house by owner with 3 kids is definitely keeping us busy! And my sweet little angel baby has turned into a wild woman! Lucy now has 3 teeth in her mouth (she just finished cutting the last one--no fun!) and now she is working on getting her 4th tooth. Lucy has also found her voice. She does not babble but instead she playfully screams! It certainly is much louder around our house these days. And to top it all off, she is ON THE MOVE!! She is still pulling herself (kind of like an army scoot) anywhere she wants to go. She goes everywhere around the house and she gets there VERY quickly. Any day now she will be crawling! Just in the last week she has started pulling-up. Her favorite is to do this in her bed. When we put her down to go to bed she immediately sits-up and stands up in her bed! We have been finding her like this even in the middle of the night! Silly girl!

Lucy is definitely a Mommy's girl right now, but she does love for her daddy to throw her in the air!

We have been working on giving "5" and to say bye-bye. She does it sometimes....I'm not sure if she knows what she is doing or if it is just luck!

Happy 8 months sweet girl!

Gymnastics Show

The kids have both been taking gymnastics at school this year. They had their end of the year show this past week. The gymnastics teachers did a great job and so did all the kids!

Cooper's class went first. He was really concentrating in this picture:

He has great form : )

Here he is with his award and medal:

Cooper and some of his classmates:

Emily's class was next. She really enjoys gymnastics and the teachers told me that she is an "exceptional" gymnast! Hopefully there will be a lot more gymnastics in her future!

I really think she is talented!

Here is Emily with her medal and award:

We had a hard time getting all of Emily's friends to look at the camera!

The kids were super excited that MawMaw got to be there to see them perform! ( I forgot to take a picture of her and Emily)

MawMaw spent most of her time keeping-up with this wild thing!

Disney On Ice

We took the kids to Disney on Ice on Wednesday night. My mom came in town to watch Lucy, so it was just the 4 of us. We went to eat at The Purple Cow before the show--the kids love to eat there! Our neighbors went with us (to eat and the show) and everyone had a great time!! Here are a few pictures (I did not take my good camera so the quality is not that good)

Emily wore her Minnie Mouse costume

Cooper and Sydney (I think they may be boyfriend and girlfriend!!)

2 Things

1. Can you believe how big Lucy is?!?!? She is wearing some of Emily's old PJ's and they are size 12 months! (she will be 8 months on Monday)

2. She is SO close to crawling. She can definitely get where she wants to go, sometimes she rolls but mostly she pulls herself across the room. She amazes me by how strong she is.

Easter 2010

We had a great Easter. My mom was here and we all enjoyed a nice relaxing day. The kids were excited to see what the Easter Bunny brought this year. They each got a new Leap Frog learning toy, lots of candy, a new movie, a kite, books and bubbles.

This little Easter Bunny was sound asleep when I went upstairs to get her (you can see the marks on her face where she had her face pressed against her bed).

The kids were still in their pajamas (underwear for Cooper!!). This was the only picture I have with their baskets. Silly faces too!

These are a little bit better

A few family shots after church--it was REALLY windy and much cooler than predicted (I was freezing!!)

First Soccer Game

Cooper had his first Upward Soccer game this past Saturday. It was a little chilly out but it was still a beautiful morning to watch a soccer game. Since this is Cooper's first time to play a group sport, I was not sure how the game was going to go. He ended-up doing a great job and he scored the first goal of the game!! GO COOPER!! He was so proud of himself (and so were we!). His team, the Panthers, did not win but they had fun and tried their best. It was extra fun since MawMaw was there to watch him play too.

the Panthers right before their first game:

At the end of the game the coach hands out stickers to each kid. They all get a different sticker at each game. The stickers stand for something...best offense, best defense, best effort, etc..

Can't wait till the next game. Cooper is really hoping for a win this Saturday!

A Week of Easter Egg Hunts

We have had a busy week full of Easter Egg Hunts! Up first was Emily's class picnic and egg hunt. We went to a local park and the kids had a great time. They weather was great too!

Emily and her best buddies

all the moms tried to get a picture of both prek3 classes all together...needless to say, it did not work-out.

Emily and I had a great time together!

Next was Cooper's class picnic and egg hunt. They went to another local park and again they had great weather. Cooper requested that Daddy take him, so they spent the day together.

having fun on the playground

prek4 did much better at getting a group shot

my cute little egg hunter

While Cooper was at the park, he fell off the monkey bars and hurt his arm. Richard ended-up taking him to the doctor later that afternoon for x-rays. Thank goodness there were no broken bones, just some bad bruises.

Our last egg hunt was with our neighbors. We made a whole day of it. They cooked ribs, hot dogs, and all the fixings! All the food was SO good! Then the kids dyed Easter Eggs. They had the best time. Finally it was time for the egg hunt. We were so lucky to have a beautiful day to be outside.

We hid over 100 eggs for the kids to find. They were excited to see who could find the most eggs.

We had a great time enjoying good friends, good food, and wonderful weather.
