Not Feeling Too Well

I am 8 weeks pregnant and I can not wait for September to get here. I have not been feeling terrible, but just kind of ill. I have a cold too, but the worst part is just this feeling of needing to throw-up....all day long!! I think I feel the worst from 3:00 pm- 7:00 pm. Richard has reminded me several times that this feeling may also have something to do with the fact that I have been eating nothing but junk food. Right now that is the only thing that taste good. I am going to have to try harder to eat some veggies and drink more water.

We have not done anything exciting for the last several weeks. It has really been about me just trying to survive the first trimester. Richard has been so helpful with the kids and around the house. I thank God daily for giving me such a wonderful husband!!

Hopefully we will get to do something fun over the weekend and then I will have some new pictures to post. For now, please pray for me to feel better!!

One CRAZY Week!

Wow!! It has been a while since I posted. Life has been really crazy lately. First of all it was my birthday on the 7th and I turned 31. We had to celebrate on the 6th since Richard was out of town from Wednesday until Sunday!!!

Every year on my birthday, Richard gets to go to Half Moon Bay, CA and spend 4 nights at the Ritz Carlton for his annual National Sales Meeting. I get to stay home and take care of both kids all by myself!! And of course this year I got to take care of both kids while I am pregnant--even more fun!!

I threw-up for the first time on Thursday morning (I think that is because I had to get up at 5:30AM to get everyone to school and me to work on time). Thank goodness I only work one day a week!! While daddy was gone, both kids decided it would be a good idea to sleep in mommy's bed--EVERY night!! You would think there would be plenty of room in a king size bed for the three of us, but Emily felt the need to sleep with her legs on top of me all night. Needless to say, this pregnant mommy did not get much sleep while daddy was gone. I tried my best to have an activity everyday to keep us busy. We went to Jump Zone, the park with friends, McDonald's, Chick-fil-A, and one day I did have to have a babysitter so that I could go to a shower that I was hosting. The time went much faster than I thought it would, but I was very ready for Richard to be home. He got home last night around 11:30 and today he took the kids to Meme's house!! I have really enjoyed the peace and quite!!

I do have to brag on Richard a little bit....He won Rep of the Year Award!!! That means that he finished as the #1 sales rep in the company for 2008. This is an honor that any sales rep seeks to earn. We are SO proud of him and his accomplishments!! The best part was, when his boss gave him the award in front of the whole company his boss said some of the nicest things about him. He said that he was so excited to give this award to Richard for his hard work and dedication to his job, but he really wanted Richard to have this award because of the type of person he is. His boss said that Richard made him want to be a better person, a better husband, and a better father just by how Richard lives his life. Isn't that awesome!!! I think all of his kind words meant more to Richard than any award he could have given him.

Hopefully our life is going to get back to normal soon. Right now I have a lot of cleaning to catch-up on and a ton of laundry to do. I made my first appointment with the doctor on February 5th--hopefully they will do an ultrasound that day.

Here are a couple of pictures from my sad little birthday party.

The kids liked getting icing all over their face!

Adventure at the Bowling Alley

We decided that it would be fun to take the kids bowling since they have never been before. The kids were very excited, even though they had no idea what bowling was. They decided that they needed to dress-up for the occasion.

As soon as our Power Ranger and Super Girl saw what bowling was, the were even more excited to get started. They picked their bowling ball and they were ready to go.

At first we used a little piece of equipment that helps the kids to easily roll the ball down to the pins. Well, my kids quickly decided that they did not need that. So, we moved to daddy helping push the ball.

Then they decided that they could just carry the ball and run and throw it down towards the pins.

They both really surprised us at how well they could bowl. They really had a good time.

We were all having a good time until......

Emily was carrying a 10 pound ball (because it was pink and that was the one she wanted) and as she was running and throwing the ball, she FELL!!! When she fell, she landed flat on her back and the 10 pound ball landed on her HEAD!!!! It was awful. She had a bad bloody nose, a huge bruise between her eyebrows, and a big "pot knot" on the back of her head. She is a pretty tough little girl, but this caused some major tears. This picture does not do the bruise justice--it is much worse in person.

It really was a fun family activity, so hopefully we can talk Miss Emily into being brave and giving it one more try.

Happy 2009

We had a nice, laid-back New Year's Eve. My mom keep the kids over night at her house and Richard and I went to dinner at Sonny Williams with our friends Richard and Brandy Harp. We had good food and good conversation--it was the perfect evening!! The best part was that we slept till almost 10:00 the next morning--I can't think of the last time we got to do that. After looking at several other blogs, I have decided to post some of my favorite pictures of 2008. (WARNING: There are A LOT of pictures)

After going through all of these pictures, it is amazing how fast time goes by and how quickly it seems like my kids are growing-up. I hope that I can remember to slow down during 2009 and really enjoy each day. We can't wait to see what God has in store for us in 2009!! Of course we are looking forward to welcoming a new baby in September. Happy New Year to you!!

Christmas 2008

I am so behind on my postings. Here it is January 2nd and I am just now posting Christmas pictures. We had a great Christmas and it was nice to have both my mom (Maw Maw) and Richard's grandmother (Meme) with us this year. We missed having Papa and Paw Paw with us, but we know that they were up in heaven celebrating with us!

Santa went a little overboard this year, the kids got everything they asked for and more!!

Of course, Cooper got another costume.....

I love this picture of the kids with their Meme

And the motorcycle was the favorite gift of the day, not only for my kids but the neighborhood kids too!!

I have to post one more picture, just to show that my house is not always neat and clean....

Our house is now clean and all Christmas stuff is put away. We are looking forward to next Christmas with 3 kids to share it with!!
