I'm Back

It has been over two months since my last post. I am really hoping to get up-to-date on everything that has gone on since June and then I promise to be back to blogging at least twice a week. Since this blog is really the "scrapbook" of our lives, I am going to go back to June and work my way to right now.

Cooper's 6 Year Old Birthday

Cooper's birthday party was our first big event of the summer. He had a hard time deciding where to have his party this year, but finally went with Jump Zone. He had so much fun playing with all of his friends and it was a great way to get to say good-bye too.

Emily's 4 Year Old Birthday

Emily has talked about having her party at Pink Bliss for the last year. I was so glad that we had not moved yet and were able to have her party there. All of her sweet little friends came to wish her a happy birthday, the girls definitely had a good time.

We even got Cooper to put a dress on....he was not happy that I was taking his picture

Lucy 10 Months Old

During all the birthday parties and going-away parties, Lucy was crawling everywhere and learning to walk. And of course....she was always up to TROUBLE.

These next two are part of that trouble I was talking about...

Last "Fun Times" in the House

When we built this house, I had visions of a fun "activity" that the kids could do one day. One of my childhood friends had a set of stairs just like ours in her house. We used to get her old baby mattress and use it as a sled to ride down the stairs. It was always so much fun and I could not wait to "ride the stairs" with my kids one day. Since Lucy was still using the baby mattress we had never had the chance to do it. We finally had the chance just a few days before we moved. The kids and a great time (and so did the parents and the neighbors kids!!). What a fun memory that I hope they will never forget!!

June 21st, 2010 Moving Day

The day finally came that I had been dreading since January....MOVING DAY. The movers came on June 19th and packed all of our stuff into boxes. The next day they loaded it all onto the big truck. On June 21st 2010 we said good-bye to our home of the last 5 and 1/2 years. It was one of the hardest days of my life. The home that we had custom built to raise our family in was no longer ours. The home we had brought babies home to, celebrated birthdays and holidays in, the home that was full of SO many memories, was no longer ours. We had to say good-bye to all of our fabulous neighbors and all of our kids friends that they had "grown-up" with. It. Was. A. Hard.Day.

good-bye friends...

good-bye house.....

Living in Fort Smith for 7 Weeks

I don't think I can ever thank my Mom enough for letting all of us invade her home for 7 weeks. We tried to get out of her hair as often as possible by taking little "mini" trips. I think the summer of 2010 is one that we will always remember : )

Emily's actual birthday (the 26th), just a few gifts and homemade birthday cake

Trip to Branson

Trip to The Peabody

Lucy thought she was one of the ducks and kept trying to walk on their red carpet

at the splash pad...the kids had a great time, especially Lucy, she LOVED it!!

Cooper thought this was real funny...ha ha ha...

Emily thought this was funny too..so silly

Lucy 11 months old

At 11 months Lucy was (and still is) into everything!! I have never had a child be as "busy" as she is. She puts everything in her mouth, she loves to open cabinets and pull stuff out, she thinks it's really fun to play with toilet water and toilet paper. I HAVE TO KEEP MY EYES ON HER ALL OF THE TIME!!! She may be wild and crazy but we love her so much and we are so thankful to have her.

some how she got a black eye...looks kind of bad

she LOVED to hide under the table in my Mom's dining room. she would sit under there and be so quiet, we could never find her. she thought it was so funny.

Vacation Bible School and the Ferris Wheel

My Mom was so sweet to take the kids to VBS at her church every night for a week. The kids had the BEST time. It was a Pharaoh theme, so there were a lot of costumes and dressing-up. They really enjoyed all the fun songs and hand motions. They are definately going to want to go back next year!

After the last night of VBS, we went to a little amusement park that is down by my Moms church. The kids had a great time riding the farris wheel and carosel. Lucy was running wild all over the place!

Lucy's 1 Year Old Birthday

Sweet little Lucy had her 1 year old birthday 9 days after we moved into our new house in Texas. So needless to say, her party was not very elaborate. Thanks to MawMaw for getting Lucy a new wagon. She loves going for walks in her wagon. For some reason I did not get a picture of her with her little smash cake...I think I was video taping and forgot to get a normal picture. Anyways, I think you can tell that she enjoyed getting to eat cake and make a mess!

Cooper's First Day of Kindergarten--August 23rd 2010

I was so excited for this day to come. Cooper was totally ready to be a big kindergartner! He had a great first day of school and has made a lot of new friends. I think he likes being on of the biggest kids in his class.

I think he looks so handsome here

the backpack the he just HAD to HAVE!!

my view of my whole crew walking Cooper in to his first day of school

Emily's First Day of PreK 4

Emily was so excited to start school and see who all her new friends were going to be. She hardly even said bye to me before she walked into her classroom. She absolutely loves her friends and her teachers. We are so thankful for such a wonderful school.

I had a hard time getting a good smile out of her that morning

she loved getting to take her umbrella with her

MawMaw was with us for her first day

Yay!! I am now updated through the end of August. I am glad to have this done!!! The next post should get me completely up-to-date. I really enjoy having a blog and I am glad that so many of my friends and family are able to keep up with us this way. More to come...soon, I promise!!
