A Sleepover and Camping Out

Emily was so excited to have her very first sleepover!! She had her best friend Elyse stay the night back in September. I didn't take as many pictures as I should have to document the event. We started with dinner at McDonald's and then headed home for a bubble bath.

The girls all clean and ready for a sweet treat!

We had some yummy chocolate chip cookies........

and then a story and everyone was ready for bed! (we did this on a Friday night, so after a long week at school the girls were both really sleepy)

Lucy was just as excited as Emily was to have Elyse at our house!

It took them for ever to fall asleep!! And then at 1:30 in the morning I had both girls in bed with me because they were "scared". ( I think Emily was having trouble sharing her bed with someone, and she actually woke Elyse up to come downstairs with her! Aggghhhh!!) At least Lucy stayed in her bed all night! In the morning everyone was up very early ready to play....and head to the donut shop!

While us girls were busy with our sleepover, the boys went on a camping trip! Cooper has been begging to go camping so this worked out perfect! One the of the local churches had a father/son camp-out about 30 minutes from McKinney. Some friends went with them and they all had a great time!

Richard said there were a ton of people there!

Eric and Luke had all the camping gear and were so nice to share all their stuff with Richard and Cooper!

Sweet boys!

Eating S'mores!

First time for Cooper to sleep in a tent. (I think he looks a little scared)

After a good nights sleep, everyone woke-up and had a yummy breakfast and worked on their archery skills.

The boys had so much fun and are looking forward to doing it again!

September Fun

At least one night a week I decide we need a sweet treat! I am trying really hard to quit this tradition, but this night we made brownies (Lucy and Emily's favorite part is to lick the bowl!) Lucy looks like she got more on her face than she did in her mouth!

This was the morning of the first Razorback game of the year. I can't remember why Emily was crying (she is SO dramatic!!), but you can tell in the pictures that she was upset about something. Richard loves when the whole family dresses-up to cheer on the Hogs!

Cutie pie in pig-tails!

Silly pictures with Daddy.

Cooper and Richard went to a play at church one night and Cooper picked out his own outfit (I thought he looked like Justin Bieber). I think this will be one of those pictures that he looks back on in about 20 years and says "Mom, why did you let me wear that!" But for the record he did look really cute and stylish!
